Neiman Marcus is one of the biggest contributors to the needless death of millions of foxes, raccoon dogs, minks, rabbits, chinchillas, coyotes (ETC) every year. Animals that are raised for fur live in a cage not much bigger then themselves for their entire short miserable lives, which eventually drives them insane leading to cannibalism, manic pacing and self mutilation. As most of you know, the process of turning a living animal into a coat is not pretty. Standard practices include anal electrocution, gassing, clubbing... Or they are skinned alive, hung on a hook still alive and conscious while their skin is ripped off, then discarded like garbage. And then there is trapping, wild animals that are caught in fur traps are left to suffer for days, weeks even with broken bones, exposed wounds, and no access to water. And not only animals that are killed for fur get caught in traps, these animals (often birds, skunks, beavers, domestic cats, dogs and so on) are referred to as "trash" by trappers, simply casualties of the fur trade that are of no use to them. You can help stop stores like Neiman Marcus from supporting this disgusting industry. Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year, what better time to speak up against purchasing fur and fur trim? Please be a voice for the millions of animals killed every year for fur.
